Gracious House Builds A Safe Place for All
Over the past several years, Northcenter has become a white-hot real estate market, and right here in the neighborhood, you can find some of the most sought-after homes and cutting-edge designers in Chicago. This month, one of Northcenter's most beautiful homes will be part of an initiative to provide a safe place for Chicago's children.
Meet Gracious House, a new project from award-winning Chicago interior designer M. Grace Sielaff of M. Grace designs. After spending time abroad and seeing firsthand the effects of extreme poverty, child labor and abuse, Grace sought to apply what she saw to making a difference back home. With Gracious House, she is combining her passion for design with a drive to promote safe, healthy children and families. A team of top Chicago-based interior designers and design industry professionals create show-house projects and host open houses to raise funds for local organizations working on the ground to prevent child abuse, support family education and intervention and more.
Now, you have the opportunity to see the first of these fantastic show-houses with a mission right here in Northcenter! On Thursday, September 11th, the Gracious House team will be showcasing their efforts at their first home at 4035 N. Hermitage Avenue. Guests will enjoy cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and have the opportunity to mingle and network with some of the city's top architects and interior designers.Tickets are $100 ($125 at the door) and proceeds from the event will go to support Prevent Child Abuse America, which works to promote the healthy development of our nation's children and to prevent all forms of abuse and neglect; including physical, sexual, educational, emotional and peer abuse; visit the website for more information.
